October 5, 2021 – Boston, MA – Chapman Construction Group (CCGI) is in progress with electrical work integral to the MBTA Green Line Extension project. Serving as a subcontractor to GLX Constructors, CCGI’s multifaceted scope has comprised installation of temporary power, duct banks and wiring cable along 7 miles of track from Somerville to Medford, as well as the installation of stray current for bridges. The NECA contractor is managing an electrical crew ranging upwards o 33 IBEW Local 103 electricians. Project operations on the GLX commenced 2018. The project extends Boston’s Green Line to Somerville and Medford and is scheduled for completion in 2022.
